Empowering Women & Girls: Exploring People & Projects Panel Discussion
On March 17, 2014 a panel discussion presented by The Clinton Foundation and University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Health explored the people and projects that are working to empower girls and women.
From women’s suffrage movement in America to the Arab Spring, countless exceptional women have redefined their role in the world on their own terms. Yet the reality for many girls and women is still stark: over 60 million girls still do not have access to primary education. The education and empowerment of girls and women is not only a moral issue—it is also a critical economic issue. Students are invited to attend a panel discussion, hosted by the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton School of Public Service, that will explore the people and projects that are working to empower girls and women.
