HIV Among Youth: Protecting a Generation
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in honor of World AIDS Day 2012 has just released an issue of Vital Signs focusing on the devestating impact of HIV among youth. The CDC states that:
"In commemoration of World AIDS Day (Dec. 1), Vital Signs looks at the alarming impact of HIV on youth, ages 13-24, and underscores the importance of HIV prevention, testing, and treatment for youth. World AIDS Day Serves as a Call to Action World AIDS Day is a time to reflect on the impact of HIV around the globe and the efforts to educate everyone on the facts about HIV, to prevent the spread of the virus, and to ensure that everyone with HIV gets proper care and treatment. As part of CDC's U.S. HIV prevention efforts, the November 27 edition of Vital Signs reports on the alarming impact of HIV on our nation's youth, ages 13-24."
