ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM Patricia Nalls Founder / Executive Director I founded The Women's Collective after several years of living in isolation about my own HIV diagnosis. I committed myself to finding, supporting and organizing women with HIV/AIDS. At first it was from my kitchen table, then from a community space and now from our offices on U Street with several integral programs for women living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS and families. It has been a wonderful journey yet also contains the memories and pain from losing many sisters along the way to this disease. Each day I recommit myself to this struggle and am energized by the work weve accomplished together, the direction we hope to go together and most importantly from the hope in the eyes of the women and families we see in our office. As a native Washingtonian born and raised in Ward 5, I believe that I have encountered very similar situations and circumstances as so many of our clients. I know that by the grace of God, I have been blessed to be in a position to work towards reducing the HIV rate in DC, while at the same time helping women who are HIV positive improve their quality of life. Peer Education and Outreach Workers
Angela VenebleOutreach Worker / Peer Educator
I enjoy working for TWC because it allows me to educate women across DC about HIV and to learn as much as I can from and about the people and the communities that I serve. Charlene Cotton Outreach Worker / Peer EducatorI feel it's a God-send that there is an agency like The Women's Collective. God does things for me, not to me, and when I was diagnosed with HIV, it was His way for me to do His work, and be a vessel for Him-to encourage me to do better and love myself. TWC is a venue where I can do God's work.
