PLUS!: Positive Leaders Uplifting Sisters!
We are a group of women dedicated to the empowerment of women living with HIV/AIDS. We are mothers, sisters, lovers, fighters, daughters, activists and dedicated community members. We recognize the pain, silence and fury HIV/AIDS can bring to our lives. We know better is possible and we are fighting for it!
What we do in hopes of empowering ourselves and working towards justice: - Share our stories
- Make our voices heard
- Require that the government respect our rights
- Fight for justice and equality
- Insist on stronger and more effective prevention
- Demand better support services and care for women living with HIV/AIDS
- Work on ending the HIV/AIDS pandemic
Please join us! If you are interested in joining our fight please contact Iris at the Women’s Collective at 202.483.5975.

REALtalkDC is about getting that ‘real talk’ about what is going on in our community – the District of Columbia. Young people want to know about HIV and STIs, safer sex, how to protect ourselves, and how to get tested in DC. REALtalkDC is about meeting young people where they are – online, on cell phones, at school and in the streets. |
