Policy Priorities

The Women’s Collective believes that we need to address health disparities and social determinants of health in order to improve and support the prevention and care of women living with HIV. This belief forms the foundation of our policy work, and informs our efforts in five issue areas that contribute to continuing health disparities. These issue areas focus on prevention, as well as addressing barriers that prevent women and girls living with HIV from accessing and staying in care.  The voices and experiences of the women we serve shape our priorities and guide our positions.  To end health disparities and address social determinants of health, TWC focuses on five core issues that intersect with health outcomes:

-       Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

-       Housing

-       Gender-based Violence

-       Poverty and Income Disparities

-       Health Care Access
