There is no denying that tough economic and political times have disproportionately impacted the women who we serve, particularly low-income women and women of color and their families. Over the course of the next year or so we are undertaking a strategic planning process that will be a road map for continuing to provide much needed services while ensuring that the solutions and voices of women and girls remain heard locally and nationally.
WASHINGTON AIDS PARTNERSHIP: MEANINGFUL INVESTMENT IN SECTOR EVOLUTION
TWC is one of several organizations selected to receive support for strategic planning through a grant from Washington AIDS Partnership .
Washington AIDS Partnership is an initiative of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers , is the largest private funder of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and advocacy services in the Greater Washington region, awarding over $1 million annually.
Washington AIDS Partnership is strategically investing in supporting local community-based organizations (CBOs) as the landscape of service delivery changes due to fundamental shifts with implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) , the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) , and changes in approaches to prevention at the Federal level. These changes are significant and their long-term impact is yet to be felt.
Over the next 12 months we will be developing a strategic plan that will guide the agency through this landscape and will be sharing highlights with you along the way!
